Canada's Smartest Kitchen, located inside the Tourism and Culinary Centre, offers a full suite of services, from concept development to market entry, for the agrifood, fisheries and functional food sectors by blending our culinary expertise, our advanced technology capabilities and our food science knowledge with our network of businesses, research organizations, academic institutions and government agency partners.
Building on The Culinary Institute of Canada's reputation for outstanding creative food preparation, Canada's Smartest Kitchen actively contributes to the Prince Edward Island and Atlantic region cluster of food and bioscience businesses through innovation and research excellence.
Culinary Institute of Canada
The Culinary Institute of Canada, located at Holland College's Tourism and Culinary Centre, has provided culinary and hotel and restaurant management training since 1983, and is regarded by many as the premiere culinary school in Canada. Students are drawn from around the world to the institute, where they have the opportunity to enjoy the unique cultural experience of Prince Edward Island and Atlantic Canada while at the same time developing the necessary skills to launch a successful career in the food and hospitality industry.
Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts, Applied Degree in Culinary Operations, and International Hospitality Management students train at The Culinary Institute of Canada.
Under the guidance of world class chef instructors and learning managers, students learn to prepare and serve meals of the highest quality in the kitchens of the Lucy Maud Dining Room, an exclusive operational restaurant which seats 80 people, and in the Montgomery Cafeteria, which offers banquet facilities for up to 400 people.
